Deluxe Boxed Chinese Calligraphy Set - Treasures of the Scholar

Set includes five brushes, brush rest, water pot, an "ink stick" (this is rubbed against the ink stone - the resulting concentrated powder is then mixed with drops of water from the water pot to make the ink), ink stone; a carved stone seal, and a porcelain jar of red seal paste. The seal is of the Chinese character Fu, meaning good fortune.

Handmade in China in the same tradition for centuries, this deluxe 14-piece set includes:

• 5 Handmade goathair brushes; bamboo handles (length: 4.5")
• 1 Hand-painted porcelain brush rest
• 1 Handmade black oval 3.4 x 2.9 x .4 inch suzuri ink grinding stone with traditional hand-carved decoration
